The Edit: This Seasons 'It-Shoes'

A change of seasons always goes hand in hand with a wardrobe refresh for me and naturally I can not skip the accessories - am I right?
I have featured several times before that I am an absolut shoe addict. I often times will wear quite a neutral and simple outfit and then really spice it up with a pair of shoes that are a bit more edgy and very on trend.
There are so many gorgeous heels, mules, booties, sneakers and flats out there for the upcoming colder seasons, which is why I wanted to do a round-up of my favorite trends as well as feature some affordable options to get the look. I hope you enjoy!

Square Toe Pumps
Now, I am the first to admit that when Bottega Veneta came out with the infamous square toe heels I was all like "wtf, please don't, why, just... don't!" - fast forward a few months... and I have actually grown to really like the look, haha! Crazy what constant Instagram-bombarding can do to your personal taste... Anyway, I recently picked up these And Other Stories white square toe pumps that you can see in the picture above and I am absolutely head over heel (no pun intended) for them! They have a block heel and the perfet height to be very comfortable and just look stunning. This trend seems to be more common in higher priced brands, however, I found a few affordable options:

Platform
With heels and sandals being very high yet also very delicate and therefore quite uncomfortable for the last few seasons, I am very happy that more sturdy platform shoes are back! They are way easier to walk in, in my opinion, and give the illusion of super high heels and long legs, all while cutting a bit off the actual height of the heel with the platform. You can find this trend anywhere currently, from pumps to booties, to flats!

Animal Print
PSA: Animal Print is here to stay people! And I personally could not be happier about it, haha! I love playing around with different patterns and prints in my accessories to try out a trend and spice up a more casual outfit. I found some really cool animal print fall shoes here:

Dressy Loafers
Every year when fall hits I feel like loafers appear on the surface of the earth again! I think loafers are one of the most versatile shoe style, as they go perfectly with an office outfit, dressier clothing pieces, as well as casual everyday wear. This season loafers got that little bit more dressier and preppier - think shiny materials, velvet, bow details and classic shapes.

Which one of these is your favorite fall trend? Which one would you try out and rock this season!
