ASOS Try-On Fall Haul + A 20% Off Discount Code!

Today I wanted to share a pretty laid back, mirror-selfie style ASOS try-on haul! I normally share my new in pieces in styling posts, yet this haul was the best one I had in a long long time, so I really wanted to share everything!

Also, I thought it was perfect timing to share this haul as ASOS is currently having a 20% off everything promotion with the code FLIPYOURFEARS! This promo ends on October 30th, so be quick!

I am giving sizing info for each piece as well and for reference, I am 5'4'' and usually wear a European size 34. Let's get into it!

Let's start with possibly my favorite item from this haul: this amazing faux shearling aviator coat - yes, a faux SHEARLING AVIATOR COAT! This one is by New Look and it is so so affordable at only $67! The quality is truly amazing, I love all of the little hardware and buckle details and that light camel color is insanely good - grab it while you can! I got the smallest size S and would say it fits true to size - there is still some room to layer knitwear! :)

Next I got this 'Paris' sweater from Asos Design - mainly because my boyfriend is from Paris and I wanted to be THAT annoying girlfriend, haha! But I actually adore the color, as I don't have any knitwear like it in my wardrobe at all. It's not too thick actually, yet quite soft so I feel like this will be a lounging around the house staple for me this season! I got a size 34, so fit is true to size, kinda wish I would have gone up a size for a more baggy fit though.

This blouse and the skirt are both from the haul and let me tell you, I absolutely fell in love with this faux leather camel colored mini skirt by Miss Selfridge - holy cow, it's good! It looks super high quality, is made of very thick material and super high-waisted. It is a bit loose around my waist, even though I got my normal size 34, however, I do like that as it means there is room to tuck in knitted sweaters! :)

This black wrap blouse with semi transparent sleeves by Vero Moda is another keeper, as I feel like I will get a ton of wear out of it! It works for the office with tailored pants and a blazer over it as well as styled for a dinner or a shopping trip. I tried to really capture the textured embroidery all over the blouse as it really adds something special in my opinion. I got my normal size XS, it is quite low cut though - I am wearing it here with a black tank underneath.

Now, guys, I need your opinion on this pair of real leather pants by ASOS Design: keep or return?? I ordered them specifically for the purpose of styling them tucked into my chunky black combat pants, like I am wearing here in the photos, because I am absolutely OBSESSED with that look lately - but can I pull it off, lol? Be honest! I got a size 36 in these leather pants, as the 34 was sadly sold out and yes, they are too big on me, so if I decide to keep them, I will try to return them for a size down :)

I tried on the leather pants here with this cropped plaid shacket by Wednesday Girl and when I pulled this item out of the box, it was definitely a WTF where you thinking Janine?? kind of moment, hahah! For some reason I ordered a size XXS - I think other sizes were sold out and it does look very oversized on the Website! - so, yes, it is way too small. I looove the material and the color way though, so will try and exchange it for a size S or even M :)

Now for the 'pièce de resistance': this killer black jumpsuit by ASOS Design - wow! I am a tiny bit mad, because I ordered this as the outfit for my birthday dinner last Tuesday, but it arrived a day late... *yay* However, this is that kind of going out staple you can pull out of your wardrobe for practically which ever occasion! I honestly felt a million bucks in this jumpsuit, haha :) It is quite simple, but I adore the neckline and the cupped detail, the length is just perfect on my and it was very comfy as well! The price on this one is absolutely insane in my opinion, especially with that 20% off discount code, so, if you get only one piece out of this whole haul, make it this one! I ordered a size 34.

Another item I did not know I was missing from my wardrobe is this insane faux leather wrap midi skirt by ASOS Design (they are seriously killing it this season!), I mean, look at it! I instantly fell in love when I tried it on, from the killer leg slit, to the rich brown color, to the high-quality thick, yet comfy material - I'm obsessed! I also could not believe how good the price is at only $45 - can not wait to play around with this item and find different ways to style it :) I ordered a size 34 and it fits perfectly and still has some room at the waist to tuck in light knits.

I initially just threw on the midi skirt with this cropped dotted knitted tank top by Emory Park, just to see how it looks on. I like that top, it is uuuber comfy and soft! I tried to capture the texture of the material in the close-up photo, because it's actually fuzzy! :) It's cute, but not a must-have in my opinion, especially since I think it's a bit overpriced for what it is. Plus, a cropped knitted fuzzy tank is probably the most bipolar clothing item ever, hahah! Is it impractical? Yes. Will I still keep it? Yes. Why? Don't ask. ;) Wearing a size XS and it fits perfectly.

I also quickly wanted to mention this super cute 90s inspired tan bag, how adorable is the ruched handle! Not a must-have, however, if you have been looking to dabble into that small shoulder bag trend without the high pricetag - like me! - then this one by Glamorous is a good and affordable alternative! I'll definitely keep it :)

And last but not least, I picked up this beautiful satin-like blouse by In The Style - my favorite ever item by this brand by the way! The quality is not out of this world, but it is very pretty - I especially adore that blue-ish dove-gray color. It is veeeery cropped though, so If you are taller than me, you might want to pass on that one. I looove that it is backless and this will look so cute with super high-waisted simple black wide leg pants *drool!*. Fit is true to size and it is just under $50.
