The It-Piece Of The Season & How To Style It!

If you are interested in latest fashion trends in any way, shape or form, chances are you have already seen the latest It-Piece for this Winter season: the knitted vest!

Coming along in many colors and even patterns, this statement knitwear item always has aa very particular style, that you might have seen in pictures of your grandad from many years ago, haha! (I actually saw the knitted vest described as the 'grandad vest' over on InTheFrow and thought it was super fitting!). Often in a distinguished knitted material, with a high- or even rollneck and sleeveless - this piece is arguable the ugliest yet most fun to style fashion item right now!

Shop my look:

I just knew I had to pick up this knitted vest by Noisy May when I saw it over on ASOS. First and foremost, I have to admit I was super intrigued by the way it was styled on the model: over a crisp white shirt that peaked out from the vest in all the right places. Naturally, I had to put my own spin on it, layering the vest with this oversized, boyfriend-style white shirt by ASOS Design (amazing quality, but size down, it's comes up huge!), rolling up the sleeves and emphasizing the loose fit with the super cool tie detail on the sides of the vest.

You can tell I don't have that many outings these days, haha, so I decided to get all dressed up for last weekend's walk in the park with my boyfriend! ;) I wanted to wear my new chunky chelsea boots - which, btw, I am absolutely OBSESSED with! - and thought they would pair nicely with a pair of straight-leg, raw hem jeans tucked in. What do you think?

Lastly, I topped of the look with my new fedora hat from Shein, which I can't seem to leave a lone these days, and pair it with SO many outfits, haha! Of course it was absolutely freezing when we went for our walk, so I layered with a huge faux fur coat as well.

Here is some more styling inspo for this newest trend:

I do think this is quite the versatile piece, which would look great as a layering basic even under blazers or coatigans! I would suggest you just order an affordable version and just have fun styling it - I love it!
